I love a winter wedding. It might be cold, blustery and maybe even snowing outside but that just makes an autumn or winter wedding even more intimate and cosy with roaring fires, candles and fairy-lights inside to brighten up the day.
I've been lucky enough to photograph a number of winter weddings and I'm always excited to see how the couple incorporate the time of year into their theme and decorations. Deep reds and icy blues are common colour themes often combined with sprinkles of silver or gold with snowflakes and christmas trees often incorporated into the decoration.
Over the past few years I have definitely noticed that the so-called "wedding season" has extended enormously. Gone are the days where everybody gets married in the summer with couples opting to do things a little differently by avoiding the high-season. Many venues are helping to make the winter more appealing by offering generous discounts which are snapped up by bargain conscious brides and grooms.
I'm happy to say that I also offer discounts for weddings taking place in November, December or January so if you (or anyone you know) are getting married at the end of the year then please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss your wedding plans and take advantage of a 10% discount.
This discount also applies to mid-week weddings throughout the entire year (Mon-Thurs).
